Swarm tactics win by saturation and speed. A defense that must acquire, track, and individually defeat each inbound drone is fighting the fight the attacker wants — every engagement consumes a finite interceptor while the swarm only has to get lucky once. As on-board autonomy improves, swarms will re-task around losses faster than a shooter-per-target model can keep up.
