Ukraine FPV Tactics Continue to Evolve
Ukrainian forces demonstrate new FPV drone tactics targeting armored vehicles with fiber-optic guided drones, minimizing electronic warfare effectiveness.

Fiber-optic FPVs are effectively immune to RF jamming, which removes the single defense most forward units currently rely on. By trading a radio link for a physical tether, these drones deliver precise, low-altitude strikes even inside contested electromagnetic environments — and they are cheap enough to be expended by the thousand.
This is exactly the threat profile that soft-kill systems were never designed to stop. Dragoon Dynamics’ position is that persistent, mechanical countermeasures like our MCUPS concept provide a critical layer of protection that does not depend on winning the spectrum fight. A physical barrier engages the drone regardless of how it is guided, and because the system is reusable it can hold a protective envelope over an asset through repeated, sustained attacks rather than being depleted after a single engagement. Against low-cost, high-volume, jam-resistant threats, resilience and cost-per-defeat matter more than any one clever intercept.
